The wilderness of eastern India wildlife sanctuaries can be explored by the tourists as thick forests with foot hills of eastern Himalayas make the picture perfect. The scenic beauty of eastern Himalayas makes the tour more adventurous and the landscape beauty adds more charm to it.  The areas covered during the tour are Guwahati, Shillong, Nameri, Kaziranga, and at last the Sunderbans in Kolkata. The tour is planned to explore some of the less visited parts of east India. The tour covers the area of green forests, mountains and the largest delta in the world. Nameri national park is home of the Golden Mahseer – The Tiger of Indian rivers and a catch for any angler. During the tour, the visitors can visit some of the well –known wildlife sanctuaries of the country i.e., Sunderbans and Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga is one of the habitats of Single horned Rhino and Sunderbans National Park lies south of Kolkata, where the Ganga with its various tributaries forms the largest delta in the world.  The Sunderbans is the land of Bengal Tigers

Day 01 Arrive Kolkata

Arrive Kolkata Our executive will receive you at the Kolkata airport and escort you to the hotel for hassle free check in & discuss about the sightseeing & other travel information. Overnight stay

Day 02 Kolkata-Sightseeing

Today morning sightseeing of Kolkata .Visit Jain Temple, set like a jewel amid miniature landscaped gardens, drive past BBD Bagh (commercial Area) St. John’s Church, Raj Bhavan (the residence of the Governor of West Bengal), High Court, Legislative Assembly, Eden Gardens, Strand (River Side), Race Course. Visit the Victoria Memorial, (closed on Mondays) an imposing marble edifice, the picture-postcard symbol of Kolkata.

Day 03 Kolkata-Guwahati – Shillong (flight & Surface 02 ½ Hrs drive)

Today morning transfer to airport for flight to Guwahati. Arrive Guwahati airport and drive to Shillong for 02 night stay. Shillong which is also known as Scotland of the East is capital of smallest state of North East Indian state Meghayala. It is situated at an altitude of 1,491m above sea level. Overnight stay

Day 4 Shillong

Today morning drive to Police Bazar and then walk-in tour to Burra Bazar or Idew Market (closed on Sundays), one of the most interesting markets one can see over here.For hours one can explore the different levels and myriad alleys with shops displaying mind-boggling items. Walk along narrow lanes and squeeze past porters bent double under sacks of potatoes. Khasi women wearing traditional Jain Kyrshahs - an apron of chequered material worn slantwise from one shoulder over a blouse and skirt manage all the shops. Visit St. Cathedral Church and local market. Evening visit Archery Ground. An unique spot of Shillong is Archery Stakes. Archery stakes - a gambling sport which is held everyday (except Sundays) at 4.00 PM. Overnight stay

Day 5 Shillong

After breakfast excursion to Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong.on the Shillong-Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of it's no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village.Visit living root bridge which are probably take 20 to 25 years to become fully functional. Day 6 Shillong-Nameri (Surface 07 Hrs drive

Today morning head out for long drive to Nameri National Park where we stay for 02 nights in Eco-Camp.Nameri National Park covering an area of about 200 sq. kms is located at the foothills of eastern Himalayas about 35 km from Tezpur, the nearest town (Tezpur is 200 kms from Guwahati). The park consists of deciduous forests, hills and the river Jia Bhoroli flows through it. Eco Camp, which has ten double-bedded Swiss Cottage tents with thatched cover, organizes nature trails through thick jungle and dry riverbeds, accompanied by forest guards along with rafting.Overnight stay

Day 7 Nameri National Park

Early morning nature trail inside the Park accompanied by forest guard. After breakfast floating on Jia Bhorolli river on rubber raft accompanied by boatmen. Overnight stay.

Day 8 Nameri - Kaziranga (Surface 02 ½ Hrs drive)

Today morning drives to Kaziranga National Park for 03 nights stay. Located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River in the far North East of India, Assam, Kaziranga National Park covers an area of approximately 430-sq-kms with its swamps and tall thickets of elephant grass making it the ideal habitat for the Indian One-Horned Rhino. Beside of-course the great one horned Indian Rhino, the other major wild attractions include a large population of Indian Elephants, Indian Bison, Swamp Deer or Barasingha, Hog Deer, Sloth Bears, Tigers, Leopard Cats, Jungle Cats, Otters, Hog Badgers, Capped Langurs, Hoolock Gibbons, Wild Boar, Jackal, Wild Buffalo, Pythons, Monitor Lizards, etc. Kaziranga National Park is also a birding paradise; the grasslands are a raptor country that can be seen on safari makes a remarkable experience.
Afternoon Jeep Safari to Western Range. Overnight stay

Day 9 Kaziranga National Park

Early morning elephant ride (1st ride: 5.30am to 6.30am or 2nd ride: 6.30am to 7.30am, wake-up call half an hour before the ride) Return for breakfast. After breakfast Jeep Safari to Central Range. Return for lunch. After lunch Jeep Safari to Eastern Range. Overnight stay.

Day 10 Kaziranga National Park

After early breakfast drive to Nimatighat (105 kms / 2 hrs drive approx) with packed lunch. Then charter a ferry to Majuli ( 1 ½ hrs on ferry). Evening ferry back to Nimati ghat and drive back to Kaziranga. Majuli is the largest fresh Water mid-river deltoid island in the world. It is situated in the upper reaches of the river Brahmaputra in Assam. This Island, with a population of 1.6 Lakhs, majority being tribal, is endowed with rich heritage and has been the abode of the neo-vashnavite culture. The island is a bio-diversity hotspot and has rich ecology with rare species of flora and fauna. Overnight stay

Day 11 Kaziranga – Guwahati/Kolkata (Surface 04 ½ Hrs drive & flight)

Today morning we leave for Guwahati to board the flight to Kolkata Arrive Kolkata & transfer to hotel.

Day 12 Leave Kolkata

Today in time transfer to airport to board the return flight to home
